Hi Jenjsigety! Am also a Michigander and love Dorkings. Lost my hen Yellow Rose last year. She was the best mother and wonderful personality. Do you breed for sale or have a good resource? I need new chicks in the spring.

Looking for a couple Dorkings to start out in Jackson MI - anyone have any chicks available? Ideally 2 hens and a rooster, but straight run will do too!

Hi. I live in Lawrence (25 miles west of Kalamazoo) I probably will not hatch until mid May. My daughter in England is pregnant for her 4th child and is due the end of April. I will be going there for a couple of weeks when she has the baby. Careing for all my animals is so complicated already with the chickens, dogs, cats and horses, that I just can't add baby chicks or watching the incubator to that list! Ideally, I would like to have hens setting eggs when I leave, but; I guess that is dependent on when they get broody. I want to hatch a few colored and then I have a nice blue breasted red cockerel I want to try to hatch from. Will fire up the incubator if I have to. Hey, I'm obsessed as well! And my husband is great about it as well!

Hi Jen. (is that right?) I live in MI also! I do plan to post some pics soon. Where have you been in England? Small world, isn't it? I had a goal to try and import some hatching eggs, being as I'm a bit of a rebel, trying to sneak them in! I think maybe I'd better ditch that idea and continue my search for stock in the USA. I have no wish to get held up in customs next time I travel! But it is still my plan to at least visit a Dorking breeder in Dorking! I have horses as well. Thanks for your welcoming greeting. I'd been stalking this site for a year before I finally joined! Anne
